This 1998 action thriller, directed by John Frankenheimer is surely the first movie in every car lovers’ bucket list. It is about a team of ex-special operatives trying to steal a mysterious and highly guarded briefcase. Gone in 60 Seconds

Gone in 60 Seconds is an American action film released in 2000. It includes a star cast of Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie, Giovanni Ribisi, and Delroy Lindo. It is particularly a heist drama, directed by Dominic Sena which centres around the plot of a former car thief who is forced to steal 50 cars to save his brother’s life. It is a loose remake of the HB Halicki film of the same name which released in 1974. Few of the expensive cars used in the movie include names of Aston Martin DB7, 1962 Aston Martin DB1, 1999 Bentley Arnage, 1964 Bentley Continental, 1959 Cadillac Eldorado, 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible, 1971 DeTomaso Pantera and others.

Bullitt

With the star cast of Steve McQueen, Jacqueline Bisset, Robert Vaughn, and Robert Duvall, this movie directed by Peter Yates was a humongous box office success. The car chase scenes through the city of San Francisco are undeniably one of the best and it continues to remain so. It is about a San Francisco cop tasked with protecting a mafia informant. Watching McQueen in his 1968 Mustang Fastback chase the goons in their Dodge Charger through the streets of San Francisco is something you wish never ends.

Vanishing Point

A 1971 American action road movie which stars Barry Newman, Cleavon Little and Dean Jagger, it is directed by Richard C. Sarafian. Kowalski, who works for a car delivery service takes delivery of a 1970 Dodge Challenger to take from Colorado to San Francisco. He takes up a challenge to deliver the car in less than 15 hours but ends up running into trouble with the highway cops.
