When thinking about the most severe health problems, the Below Poverty Line (BPL) or lower-income population is the most vulnerable. The scheme aims to counter the same by providing these families access to high-quality medical and surgical care for diseases requiring hospitalization, surgery, or other treatments.

Features and Benefits of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana

This Government-funded scheme has many salient features, which are as follows:

  • Family Floater Scheme: The healthcare scheme provides benefits to up to five family members.
  • State-Funded: Mukhayamantri Amrutum Yojana is a 100% state-funded scheme; thus, the beneficiary does not have to pay for anything.
  • Easy Transactions: The scheme offers 100% paperless claims and the transactions are directly made via RTGS by the State Government.
  • Complete Coverage: It offers enrollments of the beneficiaries throughout the year.
  • Empanelment of Government/private Hospitals: Both Government and Private hospitals come under the healthcare plan.
  • Outstanding Assistance: An Implementation Support Agency (ISA) contracted to MD India Pvt. Ltd. assists SNA in scheme management, making the process easy.
  • Death Allowance: Transportation allowances of INR 6/- per kilometre in case of death patient, to transport the body from the hospital back to their hometown.
  • Cost of Travel: The beneficiary gets INR 300 as transportation charges on treatment from the network hospital.
  • Sum Assured: Every family enrolled under the scheme will get a sum assured up to INR 3,00,000 to treat diseases like Liver transplants, Kidney + Pancreas transplant procedures. The beneficiary will get up to INR 5,00,000 under the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana

The following are the eligibility requirements for the Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana:

  • Fixed Annual Income: Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana is for families with a low annual income that does not exceed a certain threshold.
  • Category Specific: A household that is considered to be below the poverty line is eligible to be enrolled in the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for Mukhyamantri Amrutum Vatsalya Yojana

What are the Exclusions?

Mukhyamantri Arutum Yojana aims to cover most medical treatments, but there are a few exclusions:

  • The scheme does not cover plastic surgeries.
  • The beneficiaries will not be covered for non-emergency medical procedures.

How to Register for MA Yojana

The eligible families can enrol for the scheme to avail of the services by visiting the nearest Taluka or civic centre. Some kiosks are also available at the local level, making it easy.

At the centre, you will be asked to scan your biometrics such as iris scans and fingerprints. The photographs of the family members will also be taken. The process will be continued by filling up the application form in Gujarati and submitting the same. Post that, the beneficiary will receive the Mukhyamantri Yojana Card.

Documents Required for MA Yojana

A person with the relevant documents will only be able to avail the scheme. When visiting the nodal agency, a person should have the following documents:

Claim Process Under Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana

One of the scheme's most notable features is the claim process, which is entirely cashless. The process begins once a family member visits the network hospital and submits the QR card. The details will be directly sent to the Government of Gujarat after the patient is treated. This is a hassle-free process and reduces the burden on the family.

A beneficiary needs to submit a MA card document in Gujarati to avail of the benefits. However, they need to be present at the Kiosk for the enrollment process. After completing the process, you will have to revisit the centre for the MA Vatsalya card status.

How to Renew the MA Yojana Smart Health Card?
