Types of Vehicle Registration at Surat RTO Office

How to Register a Vehicle at Surat RTO

The procedure to register a vehicle at Surat RTO is as follows

  • Fill out vehicle registration Forms 20, 21, and 22, which can be downloaded from the official website or directly from the Surat RTO.
  • Make sure all the required documents are ready. The documents include manufacturer’s invoice, pollution under control certificate, insurance certificate, address proof, and identity cards. 
  • Submit the Form and all the documents. Also, pay the required registration fee.
  • The registration certificate is issued once the Surat RTO officials verify all the documents and inspect the vehicle. You receive the registration number that you need to attach to your vehicle.

How to Renew Registration Number at Surat RTO

A registration certificate is valid for 15 years from the date of issuance. Once expires, you need to renew the registration within 60 days from the expiry date. You can follow the given instructions to renew your registration certificate at Surat RTO.
