Chief Manager ICT

Objective of the position:

Plan, organize, and manage infrastructure, staff, vendors and consultants to ensure the stable and secure operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems.

Key Competencies:

  • Exceptional technical knowledge - intimately familiar with technologies such as Microsoft, Cisco and Virtualization. Extensive experience of networking, WAN acceleration, VPNs, firewalls, routers and more.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain computing resources and network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for IT resource administration and appropriate use.
  • Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation.
  • Maintains network hardware and software, including servers, voice, PDA's, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring.
  • Works with consultants to ensure that the computer system platform provides sufficient computing resources to deliver the desired level of business performance.
  • Coordinates with other departments in order to understand and meet their requirements.

Implement processes, automation, tools, and framework standards to facilitate the development and delivery of high quality product in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Competencies:

  • Established background in the DevOps, TechOps, and Cloud infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Experience of setting up and using AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with any technologies like Kubernetes, Docker and automation tools like Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible etc in production environments with many nodes.
  • Strong scripting skills, i.e., Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalling.
