The cashless claim process for Royal Sundaram Health Insurance network hospitals involves the following steps:

  • Policyholders need to intimate Royal Sundaram Health Insurance at least 48 hours before hospitalization in case of planned hospitalization or within 24 hours in case of any emergency hospitalization.

  • Policyholders must submit the required information, such as the patient's Name (insured person), Diagnosis, Hospital Details - Name, Address, Contact No, Treating Doctor Details - Name & Contact No, Date of Hospitalization, and Expected Discharge.
  • Once the treatment is completed, Royal Sundaram Health Insurance will settle the bill directly with the hospital, subject to the policy terms and conditions

Planned Hospitalization

The cashless planned claim process for Royal Sundaram Health Insurance network hospitals involves the following steps:

  • Intimation: The policyholder needs to inform TPA about the planned hospitalization at least 72 hours before hospitalization. This can be done by calling the helpline number or emailing customer care of TPA.
  • Verification: Once the intimation is received, TPA will verify the coverage and eligibility and then send a cashless authorization letter to the hospital within 3 hours of receiving the documents. In case of any document is missing, it will be communicated to the hospital within 4 hours.
  • Approval: If everything is fine, the policyholder will receive an approval letter, which needs to be submitted to the hospital.
  • Treatment: The policyholder can avail of the required medical treatment at the network hospital without paying any medical expenses out of their own pockets. But, policyholders need to pay non-medical charges and expenses before discharge.
