Types of Vehicle Registration in Ahmedabad RTO

You can get two types of registration in RTO Ahmedabad, i.e., temporary and permanent. Below we have mentioned both vehicle registrations in detail: 

  • Temporary Registration: This is the type of registration that the dealer does when purchasing a vehicle so that the vehicle owner can legally drive the vehicle on the road. You must get your vehicle registered 30 days after you move to Ahmedabad. Registering your vehicle requires paying the road taxes applicable in Ahmedabad. If you want to transfer the ownership of your vehicle to another buyer, then you must visit the RTO Ahmedabad and apply along with forms no. 19 and 30 (write the chassis number with a pencil). You may have to submit form no 31 (if the transfer is due to inheritance) and form no. 32 (if due to public auction). You must also submit the original copy of the registration certificate, PUC, vehicle insurance document, identity proof, and address proof.

The registration for your vehicle is valid for 15 years. Once this has expired, you have to get your vehicle re-registered. You must submit CMV Form no 25, original RC, PUC, road tax receipt, insurance certificate, address proof, and identity proof. Also, your vehicle needs to pass the fitness test to be re-registere
