LIC Insurance Legal Cases Assistance
When a policyholder is not satisfied with the solution provided by the LIC of India, or they want to address some legal disputes. In such cases, you can contact the Insurance Ombudsman offices formed by the Government of India to address and solve your grievances as soon as possible. The following aspects of complaints are entertained
- Any partial or total disapproval of claims by an insurer
- Delayed claim settlement
- Premium disputes (both payable and paid) to the policy
- Legal construction disputes over the policies
- Non-issuance of the insurance documents after receipt of premium
The policyholder can reach the insurance ombudsman office within 1 year from the date of rejection/disapproval/ partial settlement of the claim by LIC, only in case the claim value should be at most Rs. 20 lakhs.
